Day 80
We went for a drive this morning on the other side of the river, this side was a four lane divided highway and two lane rural on the other side. Took a few photos of the landscape, river and community then as I was looking around there was a big horn sheep out on a ledge then three and more so we followed them for a while then they caught up with a larger group: COOL!.

Jim and Norma got their truck patched and road worthy to get them back to the states for permanent repairs.

Day 79

We left Prince George this morning for Kamloops, BC. It was a long day but nice roads and a sunny day. Then about 20 miles from the campground, Norma came on the CB and said they had been hit. Since we were about a mile ahead of them and they were OK we went on to the campground, set up and headed back to where they were. Jim’s semi air lines got broken locking up the breaks. We waited for a tow truck then hooked their heavy trailer to my truck and took it to the campground. Not a good ending to this beautiful day.
Southern BC is a desert area with beautiful lakes and rivers

A heavy trailer for my truck so we went slow, about 20 miles

Day 78

Laundry day again, continued to clean on the trailer, short walk and sat around and talked.

Day 77

We went back to the park for another walk; it was a very pleasant morning. As we were walking in the Fort George Park, we noticed a large group of people near the pavilion so we walked over only to discover they were having a large YOGA class on the lawn. There must have been over 50 people of all ages. Near the center of the park kids were playing in a squirting fountain. We walked and sat on several different benches and watched all that was going on. They have a restored 24 gauge dinkie steam engine, The Little Prince that was built in1912 to help build the railroad grade for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad right across the country and is now used for children’s rides in the park. What a relaxing time we had. In the afternoon Karen cleaned inside of the trailer and I continued to get dirt and road grime off the trailer.

Day 76

We went for a walk in the Fort George Park, one of the nicest public parks we have ever seen. It has beautiful landscaping and walking paths with very nice flower gardens and benches in the park and along the Fraser River. In the park was the Lheit-Li Nation Burial ground and memorial. Then we went to the Cottonwood Island Park and just as we parked, a Coyote ran by, and then stopped for pictures! As we started down the trail there was a replica of an old bridge to cross, soon we spotted carvings about seven feet off the ground in the cottonwood trees, that was so cool. We had a nice walk then headed for Wal-Mart for groceries, what a contrast.

Day 75

Today I had two springs on the trailer replaced. I wanted all four but they only had three in stock so I bought the third one and when we get to Elkhart for other work I will have the other two replaced and keep one for a spare. I did do some cleaning of the road grime on the front bottom of the trailer and will wax it tomorrow. Not much is happening as we just hang out until Tuesday when we move closer to the US border. It is 82° and will get warmer as we head south.
Day 74

What a beautiful travel day, not a cloud all day and comfortably warm. Last night I spoke  with the campground we chose to stay at today, and all was well. We arrived today and the guy behind the desk did not know anything about us and did not know when the gal would be back and could not help us. We went outside to wait then I called another campground a short distance away and they had space so we just left and are set up in a nice place for a few days here at Prince George, BC.
