We have had great weather so far here in Pigeon Forge Tennessee with day time temps in the 70s. The fall color is mostly gone now with some still hanging on. We have a nice campsite and friendly people but the internet has been down and just started working this morning for a short while. I have been told by our friends to expect that as we travel. We had a great lunch the other day at Paula Deen’s restaurant at the Island in Pigeon Forge. Saturday, we went to Dollywood and saw a couple of good shows, rode the steam train, which is always a nice ride and walked shoulder to shoulder in the crowd, never saw it like this before but since they are only open on weekends and the weather was great in November, we enjoyed the day. We wanted to attend the Smoky Mountain Cowboy Church on Sunday but they were not having services for a couple of weeks. We relaxed and went for walks then met our friends, Mile & Cheryl and her parents, at our favorite restaurant, The Old Mill, for dinner and enjoyed the meal and time with them.

Today we parked at the Gatlinburg visitor center and decided to take the trolley into Gatlinburg, the parking in town is hard to get and with our big truck it is not a good option. We had a long wait on the trolley but still the best choice for us. We visited Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg which we have done on each trip to this area. The Aquarium is still nice but for us it has lost the spark from our first two visits. As we walked through town which hasn’t changed much over the years but watching the other tourists, like us, is a cool part of Gatlinburg. We had lunch then headed back to camp and sat outside until it started to get cool.
